Experience
Prior to starting my own public practice I worked for a local chartered accountant as an accounting technician
for five years and then worked in the oilfield services and supply industry as a controller for another five years. My wife and I also farm together in a partnership north of Cochrane. Prior to my
accounting career I worked as a service manager, heavy duty and motor mechanic for 10 years for a farm and construction equipment dealer in Red Deer and Rocky Mountain
House, Alberta.

Louise joined my firm in February 2000. Prior to that she worked for a public accountant and performed the bookkeeping
for her husband’s custom home building company for ten years in Timmins, Ontario. Her experience includes accounting, office work and income tax preparation in the public accounting
and retail industries. Louise’s family moved here in 1998 and enjoy living in Cochrane.

Lesley joined our team in February 2010 as an independent professional. Her association with my firm adds breadth and depth to the services we offer and ultimately adds value to our clientele.
Her diverse interests, talents and skills coupled with her professional training, continuous professional development and 12 years of experience in industry and public practice helps our team to provide services that are in line with my mission statement – Complimentary Great Advice that is reliable and in the best interests of my clients.
Her most prominent interests and experience are: full cycle accounting, reconciliation and analysis of financial and non-financial data, personal and corporate taxes, client training, business consulting and operational efficiency audits.

Experience
I was pleased to welcome Furqan Khan to my firm in September 2010. Prior to joining our team Furqan worked for three years in a not-for-profit organization and in the banking industry where he gained valuable experience and skills in management, accounting and auditing. Furqan recently obtained his Certified General Accountant designation and plans to focus on public practice to further utilize his business administration degree and training. Prior to moving to Canada in 2007 from Texas, USA he spent eight years performing accounting and management functions in different industries including construction, hospitality and public accounting.
