Experience
I started my own public practice September 1998 and have been fortunate to be to part of a steady growth in the quantity and varieties of businesses in and around the Cochrane area. Prior to starting my own public practice I worked for a local chartered accountant as an accounting technician for five years and then worked in the oilfield services and supply industry as a controller for another five years. My wife and I also farm together in a partnership north of Cochrane.

Prior to my accounting career I worked as a service manager, heavy duty and motor mechanic for 10 years for a farm and construction equipment dealer in Red Deer and Rocky Mountain House, Alberta.

Louise Dolan

Experience
I have been working with Bill since February 2000. Prior to that I worked for a public accountant and did the bookkeeping for my husband’s custom home building company for ten years in Timmins, Ontario. My experience includes accounting, office work and income tax preparation in the public accounting and retail industries. My family and I moved here in 1999 and enjoy living in Cochrane.

Dave recently returned to Cochrane from the United States. Mr. Kelly has many years experience in industry and public practice. His experience includes: real estate development, commercial vehicles sales, revenue property management, hotel administration, church treasurer, construction and manufacturing.

Audra Shields
Accounting technician

Experience
Audra joined our team in October 2008 as an accounting technician and brings many years of Canadian and American experience and skills in bookkeeping, office management and administration for small businesses, agricultural industries and property management organizations. Audra moved to Canada in 2002 but grew up in Ohio and Texas, USA.

Education
Audra excelled in school and is quick to learn. She likes to be challenged and expands her knowledge and skills by enrolling in courses in accounting and other interests too like art and computer courses for web design.

Barbara James, CGA

Experience
Barbara joined us in July 2009 and brings to our firm over 10 years of accounting and tax experience and knowledge.  Her background includes 5 years in public practice preparing financial statements, corporate income taxes and assisting with audits.  She then worked for 2 years as an auditor for the federal government and 3 years in industry performing similar financial reporting duties and information technology administration.

Education
Barbara obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree in 1979 from the University of Calgary and received her Certified General Accountants designation in 1983. Barbara put her accounting career on hold for a few years to be a stay at home mom. In 2004 she decided to pursue her professional accounting career again and re-qualified for her CGA designation.
